Birthday Girl-Part Two

On Tuesday we had Lydia's Birthday Party. Our kids get to have a "friend party" every other year or so. Lydia has been planning this Princess Theme for several months.

This was Lydia's first Princess Party, and mine too! It is pretty fun putting up pink streamers and playing "Freeze Dance" to "Someday My Prince Will Come!"

This is a picture of Lydia putting princess stickers on her party crown. I just can't resist putting pictures on here that show how big and beautiful Lydia's eyes are.

Here are some of Lydia's friends and a couple cousins. Don't they all look darling?

Do you see the big smear on the right side? One of the purple flowers is pretty mangled, too. We have Danny to thank for that...and we are glad he was there to catch the cake before it fell all the way on the floor. You see, when all of the brothers got home from school, Lydia had thought it would be a good idea to pull the cake out of the fridge to show it off. Good save Danny! :)

Doesn't Lydia just look so blissfully happy?

All of the girls (and Ryan who insisted that he dress up like a prince-and really ended up looking more like Peter Pan) got to have crackers, cheese, meat cubes and a strawberry. We colored Glitter Princess Color Wonder pages and jumped on the trampoline. Everyone went home with a princess tattoo, a princess wand and a bottle of bubbles. A magical time was had by all.

Happy Third Birthday Lydia!!

Fondue Feast

Every year on Valentine's Day we do Fondue. This year was really nice because on a Sunday we didn't have other events competing for time. We got to spend time as a Family. We had the cheese course first. After a little while we did the Chocolate Fondue dipped in all kinds of yummy goodies. In the evening we watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and snacked on air popped popcorn. The Air Popper was a Valentine's gift for our whole family. Both of the little ones think that it is a real novelty!!

All Ready for the Fondue Feast

In this case "V" is for Valentine's Day, not peace. :) Happy Valentine's Day to You!

Birthday Girl-Part One

Friday was Lydia's birthday. We had a little celebration with our family. Her Princess Party with some of her friends is tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the pictures of her special day!

Hey everybody!! It's my birthday! :)

I love the look on Lydia's face in this one.

...and she huffed and she puffed...

Make a Wish Lyddie May.

This pretend lipstick was one of Lydia's favorite gifts.

The last present from Mike and I was out in the garage.

Lydia is still trying to figure out how to get her Princess Trike to go forward instead of backward. She loves putting her new princess Barbies in the bucket in the back.

Lydia hand picked these pink and purple cupcakes. Yum!

Lydia is sure getting to be a big girl. Hooray for being three!
